MARCUS was born thanks to the skilful blending of Frappato wine, cultivated a few metres above sea level in western Sicily with Adriatic seawater, bitter orange, cinchona, cacao, coffee, Roman absinthe and other natural infusions and extracts.

Frappato is a Sicilian native back grape variety.
With ancient origins, the earliest records date back to XVIII century,
from the Iberian Peninsula.

Frappato seems to derive from the word “fruttato” (“fruity”), but is also known by the names Frappato Nero di Vittoria and Frappatu.

Today, Frappato can be found throughout Sicily but primary in the province of Syracuse and Ragusa.
